Meadowbrook

Landscape design through ecological stewardship.

A 12-acre property in Dutchess County presents as a suggested model for client collaboration and sustainable management. ALA has worked closely with the clients of this project and designed a comprehensive site plan to guide a long-term plan for the management of the site and its transition towards meadows. Ornamental gardens that rely on native plants bind new and existing spaces together, and pathways that respect the topography of the landscape make new connections through the space. The clients initiated construction on phase one of the plan in spring of 2024 and is expected to unfold over the next two years with ALA’s guidance.
